SOUTHLAKE, Texas – August 13, 2014 – Insight Equity Holdings LLC (“Insight Equity”), the Southlake, Texas headquartered private equity firm, is pleased to announce the addition of five new team members and two internal promotions. In August, Chris White joined the Insight Equity team as the firm’s Director of Investor Relations, Dan Davidson returned to the firm as a Vice President after receiving his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and Lauren Thomson, Jeffrey Parent, and Blake Boardman have joined the team as Associates. Additionally, Brecht Allred has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Resources while Lark Rayburn has been promoted to Private Equity Coordinator.
Team Additions
Chris White joined the firm as the Director of Investor Relations for Insight Equity. He leads Insight Equity’s global fundraising, investor relations, and consultant relations efforts. Mr. White has over 25 years of experience working with institutional investors and the consultant community. His prior experience includes BNP Paribas, Montgomery Asset Management, AllianceBernstein, and Fidelity Investments among others. Chris holds a BS from Southeast Missouri State University.
Dan Davidson returned to Insight Equity as a Vice President and is responsible for evaluating and executing investment opportunities throughout various industry sectors while partnering with portfolio company management to execute strategic and operational initiatives. Before attending business school, he was a Senior Associate at Insight Equity. Prior, Dan was a Senior Consultant in the Corporate Finance, Turnaround, and Restructuring Group of FTI Consulting. Dan received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance and Economics. Additionally, Dan is a CFA Charterholder.
Lauren Thomson recently joined the team as an Associate. Prior to Insight Equity, Lauren was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Energy division of Raymond James and Associates. While at Raymond James, she worked on numerous transactions, including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, in addition to debt and equity financings. Lauren graduated Valedictorian from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Jeffrey Parent came on board at Insight Equity as an Associate. Prior, Jeffrey was a Financial Analyst at McColl Partners (now Deloitte Corporate Finance), an investment bank focused on middle-market companies. While at McColl Partners, Jeffrey worked directly with senior partners in executing middle-market mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts, in addition to competing for potential investment banking mandates. Jeffrey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a BBA in Finance and Accounting.
Blake Boardman also joined the team in August as an Associate. Prior to joining Insight Equity, Blake was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group of Wells Fargo Securities in New York. While at Wells Fargo, Blake was involved in the origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, and refinancings for private equity clients and their respective portfolio companies. Blake graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with a BS in Business Management.
Internal Promotions
Brecht Allred was promoted to Director of Marketing and Resources. Since joining Insight Equity in 2011, Brecht has been a key member of the team contributing to the organizational management and administration of the firm, as well as assisting with the firm’s recruiting efforts and managing the company’s technology needs. Brecht’s new responsibilities include marketing the firm to the broader private equity community, managing branding efforts, and supporting communications with potential limited partners alongside the Director of Investor Relations.
Lark Rayburn was promoted to Private Equity Coordinator. Lark joined the team in 2013 and has provided excellent support to the firm by managing the day-to-day operations as well as acting as the liaison between the firm and outside parties. She works directly with Insight Equity’s investment professionals to coordinate the sourcing of potential transactions while managing the firm’s expansive deal contact database. Lark’s new responsibilities include the management of the firm’s database of deal opportunities and supporting other professionals through the management of travel and logistics.
